You can use the PDF download to work out what size of eye
you need by cutting out the circles and putting on your toys.
You could also use it to size eyes that you already have. You
can make a gauge by printing it onto card and putting a hole
in the middle of each circle. You can then put the eye shaft
into the hole to see which circle the eye fits in.

How to Use

Push shaft through fabric - you may need to make a small hole

Place plastic washer on shaft with flat side towards eye for
flat washers and curved edge of domed washers

Place a hollow tube or pipe on top of washer

Knock the washer down the spindle

You can push with your thumbs but make sure you do it evenly

Do not jiggle the washer once fitted as
that will effect the safety of the eye

Make sure the washer is right next to the
eye as that may effect the safety of the eye

Please note - washer cannot be removed once fitted

Uses

Eyes on Children's Toys including Amigurumi

Black could be used as nostrils on Children's Toys

Let us know if you use them for other things

Quick Tip

If your eye does not look big enough for your toy,
try adding a circle of fabric behind the eye which is
slightly larger than the eye. Doesn't work on all toys
and eye colours but if you experiment with colour and
size of circle you may be surprised.

Another Tip

If you are using a crochet or knitted fabric (including socks),
adding some felt or fabric inside where the eye is going
will help hide the washer and make sure it cannot pull out.
